One thing that young adults of any age group do not like is being told what to wear. It is an above all irritation. We don't like to be told what to wear, how to wear it and why. Sometimes girls like to wear the strapless shirts or spaghetti strapped shirts which according to most dress codes is an absolute "no no". So what do girls do, find a cover up. Something that can be easily taken off and thrown into our bag as soon as last period rings so we can just be us or be honest and show off. But whatever of the reason its good to follow the rules in style and one the best ways to cover up is with a silk shawl.
