Perfect For Kids That Share A Room, Bunk Beds Are A World Of Adventure
I remember the bunk beds my brothers had when we were children; I was so envious of those beds. I would have loved to sleep in the top bunk but alas I had a boring single bed which no amount of imagination could change. Kids love bunk beds; they are very different and are actually great fun for playing. A blanket draped over some bunk beds encloses the bottom bunk and you could pretend to be in a tent camping. A sheet over the top bunk hanging down could be an escape ladder from a prison where youre being held captive! Of course thats all kids stuff but still very cool and exciting from just a bed.
Bunk beds arent just for young children they are great for teenagers as you can get some very well made models that have desk space and wardrobe space underneath. As kids grow their rooms need to change with them and a bunk bed that doubles up with storage and a place to do homework or hobbies is great. There are even bunk beds that incorporate a double bed on the bottom with a single bed up top. A 3 sleeper would be great for friends staying over or even a couple of adults with a child for your guest bedroom.
Most rooms couldnt cope with 2 single beds side by side as they would be too cramped and bunk beds are the ideal space saving solution. Also great for a teenagers room would be sofa beds its seating most of the time but it gives them the chance to have friends sleep over when the bed is used. Sofa beds are great in any room if space is at a premium as you can turn any room into a guest room with a simple fold out action. A lot of sofa beds were criticised for being uncomfortable but that just isnt the case now and they are very comfortable whether used as seats or beds.
Another place you will see bunk beds and sofa beds are guest houses, these two types of beds make the rooms a guest house has more versatile with regard to the number of people they sleep. Some sofa beds look so good as sofas that you wouldnt actually guess that it was a sofa bed and that is ideally what you want. Dual purpose rooms are fantastic in small houses and you will often find a small study with a sofa bed in it so the room can be used to sleep in as well as work in. I think many people would have use for a sofa bed if they have the space for it.
As to bunk beds you probably think of them as pine and quite plain but some of the styles now are made of metal or solid wood and they actually do look very good. You can get some great kids bunk beds that actually incorporate covers and accessories which make the bed not only a great place to sleep but spend time with toys. The school holidays are times when you often wish you had more space in your home so the children could have their friends stay over, and with the addition of bunk beds and a sofa bed your problem is solved.
