Online Shopping Deals Are King
This past weekend I spent an exorbitant amount of money on items such as shirts
, pants, jeans, and two new pairs of shoes. While I believe it was money well spent, I also ultimately believe that I would have saved a lot more money if I had made an effort to search for online shopping deals. These deals would have definitely saved me a decent amount of cash that I could have saved or used on future purchases.And online shopping deals are not just relegated to clothes, online shopping sites offer some incredible electronics deals. In fact, shopping for electronics online is, nine out of ten times, the best way to find what you are looking for at a very good price; and in many cases, they are almost rock bottom prices. In addition to that, many sites offer additional savings in the form of free shipping, additional peripheral items related to your desired product at no cost, and maybe a better warranty than what the product's manufacturer offers. When you take that into account it is almost impossible to turn your back on electronics deals.
For example, a couple of years ago I built my own computer - which I still use to this day - from a well-known and well-respected online computer hardware retailer. Some of the hardware necessary to run a computer - namely the processor, motherboard, and video card - can get very pricey, especially if I were to have bought them at a brick and mortar electronics store. But I chose not to do that, instead I bought them through an online retailer. Besides the significant discount I was already getting - sometimes twenty to fifty percent off - they would send most of my items to me with free shipping! An added bonus was I was able to get my stuff the next day or the second day after I ordered them at no extra cost! This latter fact was due to pure luck because one of the shipping centers is located in the middle of my state. But even without that shipping speed, the savings alone has made me a repeat customer for this site.
One can argue that the lower retail prices offered by online retailers is offset by the "inconvenience" of having to wait for your item to ship to your house which is a fair point. But actually going to a store requires you to spend money to get there; this usually means taking your car, which requires fuel that you had to pay for. So if you think about it, you really are saving money using online shopping deals.
