It's The Sun, Al Gore!
I wonder how l Gore continues to make global warming speeches when the whole planet is shivering! We here in Houston not only had the earliest snow fall in all of history, but we're looking at sub freezing temperatures for DAYS this weekend. Quick Margaret, get out the duct tape and newspapers, we need to wrap the pipes! Seriously, have you seen the headlines this week? >Winter Could Be Worst in 25 Years for USA
>Britain's big snow shuts cities
>Gas supplies running out in UK
>Elderly burn books for warmth
>Army drafted to rescue 1,000 snow stranded motorists
>Vermont sets all-time record for one snowstorm
>Iowa temps a solid 30 degrees below normal
>Seoul buried in heaviest snowfall in 70 years
>Midwest Sees Near-Record Lows, Snow by The Foot
>Miami shivers from coldest weather in decade; Florida Gov Signs Emergency Order
>Cold snap spurs power rationing in China What's going on here? How about we take a look at the SUN? There's no doubt that the carbon footprint has some effect on the planet; however, it's not to the degree that Al Gore would like to paint it. The main culprit for the earth's overall temperature is that big bright ball in the sky called the SUN! We're currently seeing something very unusual in the sun cycle # 24 (the sun cycles are eleven years in duration). That something unusual is that we HAVE NO SUN SPOTS (and yes, we have no bananas). Sun spots push HEAT into our neighborhood without power lines. No sun spots, few sun spots, COLDER temperatures. Hmmm. Does this mean we're not in control of the solar system? You tell me! :-)About the Author:
