How To Use Personal Care Items

Personal care items range from feminine hygiene products to soap

, and razors to adult incontinence products. In the following article well go over how to use the most common personal care items found on the market today: feminine hygiene products, adult incontinence products and baby diapers.

Feminine hygiene products are tampons and maxi-pads. In light of recent pollution issues, it is best to choose feminine hygiene products that are earth friendly and are packaged in recycled paper rather than plastic.

To use a maxi-pad, peal the packaging back and unfold the pad. Remove the protective paper backing so the adhesive backing is exposed. Press the pad into full back (never thong or g-string) panties so that the pad covers the affected area well. If the pad comes with wings, remove the protective paper from those after the pad has been placed in the panties, or they will stick to the main pad backing and ruin the pad. Simply wrap the wings around the panties and you are now fully protected against leaks.

Tampons are a little more complicated. For health reasons, always use the lowest absorbency needed to protect against leakage. Find a comfortable position to insert the tampon (usually sitting down on the toilet) and remove the protective packaging. Slowly insert the tampon all the way in, to the point where the fingers touch the vagina but you are still gripping the corrugated applicator. Push the plunger in completely. Withdraw the applicator, leaving the tampon itself in place. How To Use Personal Care Items

Adult incontinence products are used much the same way. Here, we will go over the most commonly used adult incontinence products. Pads and a product that looks like an adult diaper are the most used products. Pads for incontinence are used exactly the same way menstrual pads are used. Sitting on the toilet, remove the protective paper backing and expose the adhesive backing. Generally speaking, adult incontinence products are much more absorbent, longer and thicker than menstrual pads due to the fact that urinary incontinence requires more absorbent materials. Placing incontinence pads are easier than menstrual pads, as they are so much bigger.

Pull up adult incontinence products are by far the easiest incontinence product to use. They are generally fool proof. Just remove any pants and undergarments and replace with the pull up protective underwear. Wear pants over them or any other style of clothing. Pull ups are very convenient as they are invisible under the clothes. How To Use Personal Care Items

Baby diapers are not as easy to put on as one might think. Babies do not lay down meekly to have their diapers changed, and they are usually screaming pretty loudly when its time for a change. So, gather all the needed materials i.e. diapers, baby wipes, powder and rash ointment. Make sure the baby is places in a safe spot and they cant roll off of the area they are placed. Remove the soiled diaper and thoroughly clean the diaper area with a baby wipe. Be sure to hold on to the babys feet, as they are prone to putting their feet directly in to their soiled diapers. Unfold the new diaper and slide the back of the diaper under the babys bottom. The back of the diaper has the adhesive tabs on it. Fold the front of the diaper up and over the front of the baby and secure the tabs. Refasten the babys clothes.
