3. Separation anxiety. Many owners confuse this with attention seeking, because Boxer puppies do like to have lots of company Try not to have emotional or drawn-out goodbyes; dogs pick up on this and it can make them anxious. Make it an quick goodbye, and leave plenty of toys or leave the TV on so the dog does not feel forgotten.
4. Pain. If the above issues are not the cause of the barking but your puppy is still barking, it could be due to a health problem. It could be that your puppy is barking because of internal or external pain, so you should check their skin and body for rashes, cuts and infections. It may even be worth a trip to the vet to check for any underlying conditions.
5. Attention. A Boxer puppy is very sociable and need lots of attention. If your puppy is barking and stops when you provide attention, this is probably the cause. Whilst it may be difficult, you should leave the Boxer pup to teach him that you are the boss, and will not come running every time he "calls" you. Start by leaving him for short periods of time and lengthen the time so that it gets used to being on its own. In time he will learn that you will always come back.
Both owner and dog will be happier if there is no constant barking. A constantly barking dog is its way of telling you something is wrong so it is just a matter of finding out what it is.
