Aphrodite Celebration Cruises Faliraki Sea Lines has recently announced the addition
of the celebration cruise catamaran, Aphrodite to its operational fleet for the summer season, 2010. This move comes at a time when the popularity of the municipality of Kallithea, Rhodes, as a venue for British civil weddings is on the rise. Until recently, Lindos has been the predominant location for civil weddings on the island but the inauguration of Kallithea Spa, and its marketing as a more upmarket wedding venue, seriously jeopardises Lindos lead. The Aphrodite, built in 2001 and refurbished in 2008, is a 12m long, 4m wide catamaran licensed to transport a maximum of 40 passengers: Its elegant layout and design - wooden flooring, stainless steel awnings and rattan seating arrangements - make the Aphrodite a perfect choice for a special occasion such as a wedding, birthday or other special celebration.Based in the Kallithea / Faliraki area, the Aphrodite is available for half-day and full-day hire for bespoke cruises along the east coastline of the island between the harbour of Mandraki, Rhodes Town, and the bays of Colimbia. Also, should the need arise, by prior arrangement and following our application to the Harbour Master for special dispensation, the Aphrodite is licensed to operate until, and out of, Lindos and the south of the island.

Its regular visitors to Faliraki may recall the original 'Aphrodite Cruise' hosted on a small yacht which sailed to the beautiful bays of Afandou, Anthony Quinn, Ladiko & Kallithea. This was replaced by the adventure cruise with 'Captain Morgan's Pirates'. The original 'Lindos Express' followed with the 'Symi Express' which came into being with the acquisition of their biggest ever vessel, the 'Lindos'. Strangely enough, the beloved Sea Shuttle was born of necessity as a craft was needed to act as a tender to the 'Lindos' and then, between tendering, she acted as a waterbus linking Faliraki with Rhodos Town. The original shuttle has now been transformed into the Celebration Cruiser and FSL proudly launched the newly constructed, bigger, faster Sea Shuttle into operation in August 2007.
