Why should you check an image's color profile during raster image editing?
In raster image editing, sometimes color adjustments are necessary for screens, websites, or print media, making the color profile important. A profile clarifies how colors are to be displayed on various devices. The profile may be missing and/or improperly set when opening on a different system, which may cause colors to appear entirely different than expected, or to be over or under saturated. Visuals Clipping recommends using consistent color-managed workflow, and switching to the appropriate profile when needed. To avoid unexpected colour shifts in the exported image, it can be checked on the intended display or print workflow.
