Why Don't You Just Grow Some and Do It?

Why Don't You Just Grow Some and Do It? Why don't you exercise on a regular basis

? Is it because you don't want to be healthy? You don't value your health at all? You'd rather be sick and not feel good for the rest of your life? No. You don't exercise and keep your body in healthy shape because you're inherently lazy. You haven't made a true decision that you want a healthy, fit, strong body. You know better, and you know what you need to do, but you don't do it. Fair assessment? All this is easy to do. It's not hard to exercise. It's not hard to be healthy. It's not hard to test yourself, to keep tabs on your progress and grow. It's simple and easy to do! The problem is, it's easy not to. You need to make a definite decision to take care of your body. Once you've done that, all it takes is a week or two of working on your own to set a habit. Once you've made this decision, you must train yourself to carry out your decision and attain the goal you've set. It's cake, I promise! Nutrition is the most vital piece of the fitness puzzle. Watching what you eat is the most important step in the journey to be fit. Healthy foods in the right amounts keep your body clean and energized, ready to help your mind. Your body is only a vessel for the mind. If you don't take care of your body by eating the correct foods, how can you expect your body to support your mind? All the money and toys in the world don't mean anything if you don't have your health. Form good habits. Instead of a candy bowl on the living room coffee table, keep a fruit bowl. Instead of coffee in the morning before work, have an apple. Apples have a natural stimulant in them that is more effective than caffeine, and they're easy to grab on the go. Exercise is the second most important piece of the puzzle. If proper nutrition is the key, exercise is the keychain that makes it easy to use the key. Getting a training plan is the best, doing regular workouts and running or biking or swimming. This produces the best results. If you absolutely just don't want to really exercise or endure a little bit of pain to get relatively quick results, you can be more active throughout the day. Get a little pedometer and set a goal of 10,000 steps per day, and make sure you're eating the right foods. The pedometer gives you an instant update on your daily status and what progress you're making on the goal of 10,000 steps a day. Once you've truly made your absolute decision that this is what you want, this is the goal you've set for yourself, you need to make sure you don't flag or cheat yourself. Keep kicking yourself in the ass. When I made that decision long ago, I went to the gym to work out. I broke down and bought a $35 per month membership and literally forced myself to go. That was the most difficult part. As soon as I got there, I was more than happy to work out and push myself. I even enjoyed it! I made lots of new friends there after the first week and we met up to work out together and push each other. It was absolutely awesome and I loved it! I left every single time feeling accomplished and with a smile on my face. Take charge of your life. Control yourself and be in command. Form good habits and discipline yourself. I disciplined myself, tested myself weekly to see results, and I subsequently got into the best shape of my life. It hurt some, and took time, but I'd make that decision again in a heartbeat. Good luck. I know you can do this! Git some!
