So you want to get your teeth whitened, but you are not to sure how to go about it or would like to know which is the best teeth whitening method. Well to be honest with you I personally feel that the best teeth whitening method all starts from basic oral hygiene. The reason I say this is because there is a saying that prevention is better than cure, and I strongly believe that if you can prevent your teeth from going yellow or getting stained, then there won't be a reason to have to go through the hassles of whitening your teeth.
Ok so you are probably wondering how do I prevent my teeth from going yellow? Well the answer to this is actually very simple, you will just need to practice good oral hygiene. The first step to practicing good oral hygiene is to brush your teeth no less than twice a day, as failing to do this will result in plaque building up on your teeth, causing stains and this could also result in tooth decay. The second step is how you are brushing your teeth, as applying to much pressure could lead to the enamel on your teeth wearing away, resulting in the underline of your teeth called the dentin to show. The dentin has a yellow dull look to it, and this is where the yellow effect on your teeth comes from. The last step is to concentrate on your diet. The reason I say this is because curtain foods and drinks such as Coffee, Tea, Yellow Mustard, Red Wine, and many more tend to stain our teeth, so try to avoid abusing these foods and drinks as it could result in yellow stained teeth.
So what if my teeth are already yellow and stained, what will be the best teeth whitening method to use so that I can have a bright white smile again? Well it all depends on you, are you prepared to spend hundreds or even thousands of dollars, or do you want to use free methods such as home remedies for teeth whitening. Home remedies for teeth whitening can work, but they are not going to give you the professional results, although they will help you to get a whiter smile. The only down fall to home remedies is that using them to often could result in the damage of your tooth's enamel, causing problems like sensitivity. There are also a various products out on the market that you could use to whiten your teeth at home, I personally use some of these products and they work fantastically, but you also get those out there that don't work at all, so I recommend thinking it through before having your teeth whitened.
