Beans are another one of the foods that help you lose weight. They contain digestive hormones that can help suppress your appetite while also controlling your cholesterol level. They also come packed with protein, which helps you feel full longer. Some studies even suggest that beans may help in maintaining a healthy blood-sugar balance. And since they are small enough to fit in with any meal, you can eat them with your lunch or dinner to help ensure that you get full before you eat too much.

Fruit smoothies - A good breakfast at any time, but especially on a hot summer day. Use fresh or frozen fruits and berries such as bananas, strawberries, raspberries or any other fruit you like.

Second, make sure you are eating plenty of lean protein. Protein helps repair and build muscle. Protein also has a direct impact on our metabolic rate. The more lean muscle tissue we have, the faster our bodies burn calories. Protein also breaks down more slowly than carbohydrates and will help you to feel full longer. Some great sources of protein include chicken, turkey, eggs, salmon and tuna.

Water is your miracle drug and your secret weapon. Drinking water before a meal helps you feel full, making you eat less. Innocent drinks such as sports beverages and sodas are high in sugar and calories; they are excellent at sabotaging your diet. You are free to allocate your calories elsewhere by replacing those drinks with water.

Burn fat to lose weight. Diets high in protein can help build lean muscle tissue, and burn fat at the same time. Some examples of excellent protein sources include chicken, beans, and eggs.
