, keep in mind that without your parents you wouldnt be in your situation now. During your wedding reception, reserve a special program for your parents. Choose a song that best represents your parents. Once the music is played, the groom will ask his mom to dance, while the bride will ask her father to dance.

If you and your partner are planning to hire a band, then inform the band at least a month before the wedding day to give them time to practice the song.
If youre planning to hire a wedding DJ, save the list of the songs on a cd or mp3 or Ipod and give it to them. If possible, save as many copies as you can. This is just a precaution in case the cd you gave will not work out.
Once you have selected the list of songs, ask your mom which song she likes best. It is important to get your moms opinion as you will be dancing this special number with her.
