There are so many options available whether you want to make them on your own or buy them already to go. Most everyone loves candles because they make a room feel more inviting, soft and romantic, therefore making them a great wedding favor. They come in an array of colors, sizes and smells that you are sure to please your guests with. In addition, you can get any candle for any season. For example, if you are having a winter wonderland wedding theme you could get beautiful ice blue candles that are covered in white snowflakes with a bit of shimmer added to it.
You can also get them in a coffee cup or any shape you want like hearts or doves. You can also make your own candles to add your own touch. In addition, they have a duel task of adding decorations to your table plus all of your guest will be able to take them home. They will definitely be used and every time they use light there candle they will be reminded of that special day.
Place Card Holders
To add a little something extra with class and bring even more elegance to your wedding, consider having place card holders at your table. The good thing about having place card holders is that not only do they add decor to your table but they can also give you a sense of control or peace of mind so that you are not worrying about people sitting where they are not suppose to. It is one less thing that you will have to stress about on your wedding day.
You might think that a place setting is just there for decorations and to guide people to their seats, but in reality that is not exactly true these days. You can use a place card holder as a wedding favor as well something that your guests can remember you by.
Here are a few examples;
- A starfish place holder, either using a wooden one or sewing one made out of real seashells. This idea would be great for a beach themed wedding.
- Butterfly place holder would be great for an outdoor spring wedding.
- A particular favorite is one with a two-picture frame attached. You can insert a photo of the two of you before the wedding and add an after-wedding photo in the other frame with the date included in the frame.
- Of course you can always make your own place card holders to match your wedding theme.
Unique Wedding Favors
Having unique wedding favors does not always mean you have to have an off the wall wedding theme. It simply means thinking outside the box is in order so you don't do it the same way that it has been done a million of times before. Put your own twist to it and come up with something truly unique to match your personality and theme of your wedding.
For example, say you are having a autumn themed wedding, instead of using the traditional wedding favors like pumpkins or wine, go for some pressed leaves with some pretty ribbon attached to a bag of flower seeds or a bulb so that your guests can plant them when the season comes. Then they will always have that special gift in there garden and as if they are growing and cultivating your love for you and your spouse.
Whichever wedding theme you choose, be sure that there is the perfect wedding favor out there for you and if for some reason nothing seems to fit your style, then be creative and make your own. Choosing wedding favors should be fun and not stressful. Besides your guest will love anything you choose as they are there to show their love for you.
