The B vitamins are essential in the production of energy. All B-complex vitamins are water soluble. They provide energy from using carbohydrates and converting them to glucose. B-complex vitamins are also essential for the metabolism of proteins and fat. B-complex vitamins work together, so it is important to take them all at the same time. Vitamin B and weight loss go hand in hand, but only when all forms of vitamin B are taken together.

Recently, there have been controversy regarding B12 injections to help with weight loss. Vitamin B12 is responsible for building DNA as well as for producing red blood corpuscles. It is a major source of nutrients, required for healthy functioning of the body. It is rightly called as 'energy vitamin' since, it provides a real energy boost for the body. It is an instant remedy for fatigue, as it accelerates the rate of metabolism. Vitamin B12 injections are apparently useful in reducing weight. However, B12 directly does not create weight loss it is an aid to a diet that is healthy. And there are experts in the medical field that believe that B12 really has no bearing on weight loss at all.

Another controversial vitamin, has been B6. Vitamin B6 plays an integral role in the metabolism of fats, particularly fatty acids which are unsaturated. Vitamin B6 helps with the regulation and production of the thyroid. B6 ensures the proper functioning of the metabolism system. Vitamin B6 helps with the production of hydrochloric acid, and is necessary for the metabolism of many amino acids. Whole grains, bananas, chicken, beef, eggs, avocados, dried fruit and molasses are a great source of vitamin B6. Obviously, we need this vitamin in order for our bodies to function and it probably does have some effect on our body's weight loss but once again, it needs to be done while on a healthy weight loss diet.

B12 and B6 injections play into our need for a quick fix for our need to lose weight fast. But in the long run it is the healthy habits we acquire and the long term decisions we make that will ensure we stay a healthy weight for the rest of our lives.

Vitamins that promote weight loss should be part of our routine. We should always consider our health and nutrition when losing weight. There is no need to be desperate. But it is possible to lose weight fast and continue on a healthy regimen. You should try a new program I have started.
