The Pequonnock River flows southeasterly through the Pequonnock River Valley State Park, Trumbull Center and Twin Brooks Park with wildflower fields and an ecology pond. Trumbull's Indian Ledge Park has an amphitheater stage and hosts many community events each year.
Located in the Northeast corner of Trumbull is the 268 acre Tashua Recreation Area that promotes a variety of athletic and social events. Golf is offered on private and public golf courses, including the 27-hole Tashua Knolls municipal course. Also on the grounds are 8 tennis courts, a full-size pool with diving area, and a separate 'Kiddie Pool'.
