From Jan to Nov in 2009, the engine industry showed an overall growth, the production and sales reached 11,242,115 and 11,206,603 units each, increasing as 36.16% and 34.09% when compared with the same period of last year. The production and sales of this period both exceeded more than 11 million units, which also re-created a new record of the market since 2009. In addition, China's internal combustion manufacturers are gradually getting out of the difficulty, the signs of the market recovery is obvious.
With the development demand of urban and rural economic, the light truck replacing the agricultural vehicle has became one of the characteristics of the future demand growing in light diesel engine market under the drive of the car going to the countryside policy. So the demand of light diesel market will show a rapid increase trend. The domestic implementation of the higher requirements of emissions and fuel consumption regulations will promote the increasing market share of the middle and high-grade light diesel. The dieselized degree of the light truck has been very high, the future dieselized trend for light passenger car, SUV, pick-up will become an important growing point of the light diesel market expansion.
The development space of gasoline market is mainly affected by the passenger car market. It is expected that in 2010 the domestic car will reach 5 million units, the minibus will remain at 900 thousand units. Therefore the gasoline engine market has a huge growing space. The future demand of large and medium diesel will develop further to the direction of reducing emissions, increasing compression ratio and improving liter power.
