Another great idea is to use the space beneath the window to make a window seat, and make the lid lift up to store toys, bed linen or clothes that there isn't enough room for in the other storage space. It also makes a great place for your child to sit and read a book.
If your child is running out of space in their room then it's worth considering getting a raised bed. You can get ones that have desks underneath so that they have space to do their homework, and some of them even incorporate a foldaway bed for when friends come to stay. Alternatively if your child is a little younger, buy a bed that has storage built into it to store their toys and books.
