R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo, host Sri Lanka will take on Kenya in a group 'A' match of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2011. Both Sri Lanka and Kenya will play their third match in the ongoing mega event of cricket.

Their team lost their first match against New Zealand by 10 wickets and in the next match against Pakistan, they lost by a huge margin of by 205 runs. Now, from this stage it is very difficult for this African country to move ahead in the next round.
Sri Lanka and Kenya have played five matches with other, out of which the Lankan team has won four times and the Kenyan team one time. In the Cricket World Cup, record is in favour of Sri Lanka by 2-1.
In the ICC Cricket World Cup 2011 match against Kenya, Sri Lankan key bowler Lasith Malinga may again watch the game from the dressing room. Malinga, who is suffering from back strain, is still not fit.
The Sri Lankan captain may pick an one all-rounder in place of a bowler in the playing XI. In the last game, the pitch of at the Premadasa Stadium did not provide much support for bowlers.
