. Help her to see what she has to offer as a friend. For example, you might say: "I really appreciate it when my friends call me and invite me places. It makes me feel welcome and accepted. Even on the times when I am not able to go, I still feel good to know they thought of me. That is why I treat them with kindness and respect, because that is how I want to be treated."

Social development at the preschool age often revolves around learning how to share toys. Although preschool children are beginning to interact more with their friends and play together as apposed to just playing beside a friend, their play is not usually very organized. They don't typically set goals or stick with a theme when playing. But if an adult is organizing a game, they are developing the ability to play along and follow the rules.

Child social development is a very important and sometimes ignored aspect of the 'growing' years of a child. Many parents seem to focus only on the surface of child development, which will mainly be the emotional and educational development of a child. Marginalized sometimes is the psychological development that the child often experiences when they have experiential encounters as they are growing up. More importantly is the cognitive and sub conscious learning that these children often use as a form of absorption and internal education.

Social anxiety disorder children are the kind of kids who does not want to get anybody's attention. They simply do not wish to bother other people because they are afraid to be embarrassed when they mingle with the crowd. Imagine them sitting far from the group of kids that are playing and being very reluctant to join them. Because their quite unfavorable condition, they usually miss out on the best years of their young lives. Unfortunately, their futile anxieties prevent them from exploring their surroundings and gaining friends. The severe fear that they are facing if they are in a crowd could affect their way of living and their daily activities. Social Development In Children


Effective teaching takes discipline on the part of parents. Often the natural reaction to a child who is whining or screaming so as to interrupt what a parent is doing is to yell at the child or discipline if they do not comply. This will do nothing to teach the child about the appropriate way to deal with the situation. As mentioned previously the key to imparting social skills to your child is more about teaching than disciplining. For the interrupting child, the first step is to teach the child a different method to get a parent's attention, such as tapping them gently on the leg.

Now, keep in mind that all kids go through these problems at one time or another, and that some kids are just naturally, well, shy. I know I was so shy in school that I would break out in a sweat if I had to get up in front of the class and speak. Look at all of these signs together and if they occur over a period of time and are causing problems for your child, then it would be time to bring it up to your primary care physician.

Other signs of social anxiety in children include an unhealthy amount of nervousness with respect to upcoming tests or exams, a complete unwillingness to engage in core class activities like asking or answering questions and reading aloud, and excessive amounts of time spent alone on the playground or at home. Obviously, many of these traits are found in children with no developmental difficulties, as they are - taken separately - normal behaviors for many children. However, a combination of many of these behaviors may indicate that there is something wrong. It may not be Social Anxiety Disorder; it may be a case where the child feels bullied by a teacher or another classmate.

By writing, we give others the opportunity to embark, more intelligently, and therefore with greater chances of success, on doing something we(or persons we closely studied) have also done in the past and/or are still doing. Anyone who has applied honest and diligent effort to a particular cause, can write competently about what s/he has done in a way that can benefit others who wish to pursue a similar goal.
