Avoid doing things that can affect your child's behavior, such as having fight with your partner, don't ever do fighting in front of your child or saying brutal or bad words. At their young age they can easily absorb things that they see and hear. You don't want your child talk as you do, talking like they are at your same age, never following you or never even respect you at all. There are also some kids that when you give them orders they don't even follow, they make whining, having arguing or just go to room to escape and not to take your command at all. You have to stop this, for just simple thing that they are not following you, can be a serious problem that you might encounter as time passes and your child ages. You need to keep in their mind that when you give orders they need to follow, and when you speak they need to understand.
Children love to play, especially toys that attract their attention most. As you drive on the mall, they always ask you to buy toys that they wanted. It is not necessarily to buy them those stuffy things, you should talk to them, tell them that there are important things that you need to buy other than those toys.
Being a parent is a big task, and you have a big role as a parent. You should always be fair to your child. You are supposed to be caring and loving parent, and assuring your kids are safe, whatever the cost. You also need put in mind that children learn more about behavior by watching adults than any other way. You must carry out discipline together with love, care, and affection. An effective discipline strengthens the parent-child relationship and promotes positive behavior of your kids.
