Recycling begins with separating our waste products from our recyclable materials. Once you are able to identify which materials can still be used, you can now consider what you can make out of these materials. There are actually many ways on how you can recycle and it depends on the materials that you have. All you have to do is use your imagination, creativity, and artistic skills. You can ask for the help or supervision of an adult if you are having a hard time working out what to do, and it is important that you take care when using scissors.

- Colored papers can be made into decorative materials such as paper flowers, picture frames, and wall decors.
- Magazines can be made into scrapbooks or can be used in art projects.
- Paper cups can be made into toys.
- Socks can turn into puppets and old clothes can be made into rags or clothes for your dolls and bears.
- Cans can become toy cars or a pencil holder.
You see, with just a creative mind and a little help from an adult, kids can create many beautiful things out of trash. So kids can, and should be encouraged to, start recycling today and help to make a difference in the world in which we live.
