When men go shopping, they really mean it. They want to be able to maximize their time shopping for everything that they would possibly need. Usually, they would want to be able to buy everything in one go. They would not want to go out to buy things from time to time. I think this is one good thing that women should learn from men.
Generally, men plan for their shopping in advance. They would not just go on a shopping spree in the spur of the moment. Impromptu shopping means trouble for men.
Just like a grocery list, men would have a mental note about the things they need to buy and the things they want. They would normally buy the things they need first and if they still have enough time or money, they will buy what they want.
If you would get a chance to take a peek into a man's mental shopping list, the first things that you would probably find are shirts. Men love to shop for different shirts that they could wear everyday. They love to wear comfortable cotton shorts on a regular basis. It makes them feel more in control of the situation because they feel confident in shirts.
The next item that you would most probably find in their list is a pair of socks. Some men like to buy socks and underwear like coffee. They have to buy it regularly to feel good. At the same time, men buy these things for hygienic purposes.
I am pretty sure you would prefer a man who is conscious about his personal hygiene. The typical socks that men would go for are dark-colored and mid-calf length. This would avoid showing their hairy legs when their pants pull back when they sit down.
Of course, new socks go with completely new shoes. New socks are useless if you will pair them up with old and moldy shoes. It would be better to wear sandals instead if your shoes would make you look worse. Usually, men buy lots of black leather shoes and a few brown leather shoes.
Some would buy a pair of white shoes for a change and some would invest in sneakers. For men who love the outdoors, hiking boots would be the top priority.
In addition to clothes and accessories, men also need to buy supplies for their regular grooming. They grow moustache and beard everyday. While some men prefer to look like a walking fur ball, a lot would choose to show their faces. This is where electric shavers and shaving creams kick in.
There are plenty of brands, styles and scents to choose from so it is important to find what best suits you. You need to consider the mildness, the comfort level and the convenience factor before you buy it.
When everything you need is in, you can shop for the things you want. A new pair of cufflinks or a nice silk necktie is a really fantastic way to reward yourself. Never forget that you deserve more than just a pat on your back for being a practical and economical shopper. Everyone needs a token of appreciation and you are not exempted from it.
