Psalms of David: first divine message about Good and Evil: Paradise and Hell!

Psalms of David: first divine message about Good and Evil: Paradise and Hell!

Some three thousands of years ago David, first king of Israel, is considered by the Torah, as well as by Islam, as mentioned in the Qur'an, as a prophet and messenger of God. The Psalms were revealed unto David. The Psalms are among the earliest written divine texts inspired to David.

It should be considered that the Psalms of David are first indicators of the divine outlook telling humans about the nature of the divine, good and evil and admonishing humans with the consequences of punishment and reward. Punishment is in hell and reward is in paradise.

The Psalms are the foundations of the divine message unto humans and represent the principle parent of the three divine monotheistic messages namely the Torah, or the Law, the Gospel and the Qur'an.

Book One of the Psalms informs us about how good people should obeys God and His Law and avoid the sinners as well as keeping God in constant remembrance:

Oh, the joys of those who do not follow the advice of the wicked, or stand around with sinners or join with scoffers. But they delight in doing everything the Lord wants; day and night they think about his law.' Book I: 1-2

The Psalms informs us a parabola of these and the good fruits they make. It informs us of the reward they achieve in this world:

They are like trees planted along the riverbank, bearing fruit each season without fail. Their leaves never wither, and in all they do they prosper.'

Book I: 3

Then the first Psalm makes immediate contrast by comparing these with the evil and wicked persons and the subsequent punishment on the Day of Judgment:

But this is not true of the wicked. They are like worthless chaff, scattered by the wind. They will be condemned at the time of judgment. Sinners will have no place among the godly.' Book I: 4-5

Here we have a manifest two categories depending on their personal deeds. The Psalms give humans the freedom to act as they please, in these verses. Humans are also made totally responsible for their own deeds. The subsequences of their own deeds are prescribed in terms of either reward or punishment. Paradise and Hell are clearly the abodes of those who are good and who are evil respectively.

The idea of God is omnipresent and is in constant watch over men's actions is clearly revealed in the following verse concluding these verses:

For the Lord watches over the path of the godly, but the path of the wicked leads to destruction.' Book I:6

The terms time of judgment', among the godly', destruction', are indicators of reward and punishment on a day of judgment, the godly are those rewarded with eternal felicity in paradise and the wicked are punished by destruction.

Thus, two categories of humans immerge, from this description of the Psalms, the good and the wicked sinners.

This two-fold classification of humans is manifested in the three Scriptures namely, the Torah, the Gospel and the Qur'an, in exact and same manner. It is the principle thesis of all the three divine messages, with exact consequences for either category.
