Peugeot leads the way with popular finance deals
With conflicting reports of high sales, low sales
, big numbers, small numbers, it's time for some continuity. Peugeot has posted figures that show how strong its position in the market is. August, despite being a relatively bad month for car sales, was a successful one for French manufacturer.
The cars that sold the most numbers were the 3008, 5008 and the RCZ coupe. The sales have helped Peugeot to match its 2009 sales performance, despite the market itself declining 17.6%. And it seems the improved figures are down to the new car finance deal the French marque is currently offering.
The Just Add Fuel' finance scheme allows the customers to buy a Peugeot 107 that comes with insurance for three years, a three year warranty, three year servicing package, three years of roadside assistance and three years tax, for a monthly payment of 197. The deal can be applied to quite a few of Peugeot's current models, and it is thought this new initiative is the reason why it is enjoying the improved figures.
Talking about the posted figures, Jon Goodman, Managing Director, Peugeot UK, said: "These figures show just how strong the Peugeot brand has become, outperforming the car market considerably in tough post-scrappage conditions and maintaining sales in a traditionally quiet August.
The results bear testament to the appeal of Peugeot's new cars but also to our ability to deliver the kind of all-round motoring experience the UK public wants and needs."
As a result, the manufacturer has posted increased sales this year of 16.8%.
