, is celebrating its 35th anniversary in October this year.This special occasion will be marked by a weeklong celebration featuring an exciting programme of special events. From 24th to 29th October, One&Only Le Saint Gran will adorn itself in festive spirits with stunning dining experiences and entertainment.
A Wine Dinner at Spoon des Iles by Alain Ducasse, a Gala Dinner by Michelin-starred chef Vineet Bhatia to celebrate the 3rd anniversary of Rasoi by Vineet restaurant, Coastal Food Festival at Rasoi, and the 35th Anniversary Celebration Gala Dinner Buffet are the culinary highlights during this week. The programme will also include full moon parties, local musical entertainment, lavish beach barbecues, superb fireworks, golf competitions, tennis tournaments and more.
One&Only Le Saint Gran, named after the sailing ship, which perished on nearby reefs in a violent storm in 1744, was born on 20th October 1975 and was inaugurated by late Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam, father of the nation and first Prime Minister of the island. With its opening in 1975, One&Only Le Saint Gran highly contributed to the development of the Mauritian tourism industry by setting new standards of quality and service. The hotel played a leading role on the economical front, creating hundreds of jobs and contributing to social development. The dedication of its staff and the legendary service has earned the hotel international fame throughout the years. Over 600 employees, of which many have been with the company since the beginning, strive for perfection today and pamper guests with the thought that nothing is too much to please them.

One&Only Le Saint Gran is located on its own private peninsula at Belle Mare, on the north eastern coast of Mauritius and features a golf course, a tennis centre, the One&Only Spa by ESPA and recently refurbished Suites set in lush tropical gardens. The 2540 metre, par-33, 9-hole golf course, which runs along the beach, was designed by Gary Player. The Peter Burwash International Tennis Academy offers tuition and organises regular tournaments for guests. These facilities are complemented by the Fitness Centre with the newest Techno gym equipment, offering personal training. In addition there are three world class restaurants, which won One&Only Le Saint Gran Cond Nast Traveller Gold list Award "Best Hotel in the World for Food" in 2005.
The resort became a member of the prestigious Leading Hotel of the World portfolio in 1997 and has received international accolades throughout the ensuing years: The Ultra Awards by Daily Telegraph Best Resort Indian Ocean' in 2009, Cond Nast Traveller (UK) Readers' Spa Awards Top 10 Best Spas Africa, Middle East & Indian Ocean' in 2007 and many more.
