My Secret Method For Finding Someone To Buy My House

My Secret Method For Finding Someone To Buy My House

I'm assuming that you aren't living 'way out in the country without

any neighbors nearby, and that your house probably is not the only house in your neighborhood. Is that right? So you are not the only homeowner in your neighborhood, there are plenty of others. With that in mind, the next logical conclusion is that there are other people who would like to move into your neighborhood, too.

Over the years I've found that whenever I want someone to buy my house I try to remember there is always a willing market full of buyers that are eager to hear about my house for sale, and all I really have to do is find those people. All I have to do is locate the people who already want to buy my house.

So, how do I do that? How do I find the people who already want to buy my house? I begin by talking to neighborhood property owners that I'm acquainted with. Remember, I buy and sell a lot of houses as an investor so I'm not living in all those houses. I'm not usually living in the neighborhood so chances are my acquaintances are few in number compared to your own. You probably know a lot more people in your neighborhood than I know in mine.

Get started by talking to people in person and on the phone, asking them the most powerful question of all, which is, "Do you know anyone who would like to live in our neighborhood?" I absolutely guarantee that you'll get some good answers when you ask this question. You will get plenty of leads you can pursue to sell your house.

Whenever I am looking for prospects to buy my house I get started as soon as possible with these phone calls. In case you find these phone calls intimidating, remember that it's a job and you're going to get paid for doing this job. It's automatic, the effort you put into finding a buyer will pay you back when you receive a proceeds check at closing. Does the idea of calling people and chatting about your house for sale make you uncomfortable?

Well, just tell your real estate agent you expect her to make these calls for you, but be sure to follow up. Or you could consider mailing postcards to homeowners in your neighborhood instead. I have found that postcards are very effective for me. They are another great method to get the attention of neighboring property owners when I want to find someone to buy my house.
