MAZDA is one of the car manufacturing companies .Initially it was registered as Toyo Cork Kogyo Co.
, Ltd. It was founded in 1920 and initially produced weapons for the Japanese military wing in the Second World War .The Company got officially registered in the name of Mazda in 1984, though all automobiles sold from the beginning bore the name of Mazda.
Mazda introduced its first car in the market in 1960 which was named as MAZDA R360. This car did not make much profit for Mazda and was later replaced by Mazda Carol in 1962. Mazda developed Wankel Rotary Engine with a view to differentiate it from the other Japanese auto Companies.
Till date Mazda is the only company that manufactured the engine. It was mainly due to the attrition as rival companies never considered it for production. Mazda's Wankel Rotary engine was a huge success until the onset of the oil crisis of 1973.
As European buyers quickly turned to vehicles with high fuel efficiency, the relatively thirsty rotary-powered models began to fall out of favor. Wisely, the company did not totally stop the manufacturing of piston engines, as they continued to produce various models like, four-cylinder model which was famous throughout the 1970s. The smaller Familia became a priority for Mazda's worldwide sales after 1973.
The NEW MAZDA 3 which was widely known as "MAZDA AXELA" is a compact car and was introduced in 2004 and was marketed as MAZDASPEED3. The Mazda3 had been generally known for its, handling, styling, performance, interior and value-oriented price.
The Mazda3 was given the second best-selling car award In Canada for the year 2004 and the best selling car award in Israel for the year 2007.
The production of this car started in 2004 and is still going on due to its ongoing demand in the market. It is assembled in Chongqing in China. It has a "Ford C1" platform. The engines used are "1.6L MZ-CD14 and "2.0L MZR-CD14".It has a five and six speed manual transmission.
The present model is a Sedan with five door Hatchback having length of 4491mm, width of 1755mm and a height of 1465mm respectively.
Due to its low fuel consumption and low emission rate USED MAZDA 3 is very famous among customers. It has got additional features such as digital signal recognition navigation system which are in great demand. Hence, used of second hand Mazda 3 gets decent resale value.
