What else would you expect on an island where one seaside spot has been known for years as Dig Me Beach? Maui folks are like people everywhere else in this regard. If you're hitting the beach today, it is too late for a fat loss workout if you need it.

So as a weight loss coach, "How can I lose weight fast?" is the most common question I get, just like all fitness trainers. The standard answer from my fellow weight loss coaches is: weight loss takes time. That's not my take on it. I say anyone can begin to lose weight immediately. Absolutely. And don't doubt this. Fat loss and fitness begin right now. You've got to believe, for starters, and enders.

Decide to and start losing weight right now, not after the weekend or holidays, or after your next boozy food and beverage blowout, but now. The sooner you start, the faster you lose. Stop with the excuses and procrastination.

Here are dynamic ways to healthfully lose weight fast, super fast in some instances. At the same time these will start you toward what must be your Holy Grail, your mission: permanent weight loss.

Make water your main beverage, it's the only beverage nature intended us to drink; everything else is extra calories. And diet drinks don't work. This is a tip you can start immediately. If you stick with it, as you would do well to do, you will lose weight fast.

Start replacing high fat meats, poultry, fish, dairy products and other animal foods with vegetables, fruits, whole grain products, legumes, which are beans, peas, lentils; and tubers like potatoes, carrots, sweet potatoes. These are fat burner foods. Start with one meal a day, and make it an animal product-free one. Then move to one day a week where you consume no fattening meats and other animal products. You may be amazed how fantastic, strong, vibrant you feel. Just giving your digestive system a break from all the animal muscle, fat and protein gives you a boost. Don't worry about getting enough protein; if you're eating a balanced diet of whole foods, you won't lack protein.

Cut down on dinner. Make it the smallest, low-calorie meal of the day. Healthy salad and soup are excellent. Steamed veggies with brown rice, or veggie stir-fry are fine choices. Fruit salad. Here is a super tip that I urge my clients to try: cut out dinner altogether for one to three months. You will be truly amazed at how fast you lose weight with this tactic.

Make breakfast a substantial, healthy meal. If not breakfast, then make it lunch. If you're eating a light dinner, or none at all, you'll wake up ready for a healthy, substantial breakfast. In the area of losing weight fast, this is the best way to start the day.

Do a 1,500-calorie, 3-meal a day menu and stick to it.

Weigh in every day and record your weight. How else are you going to know if you're losing weight? It's easy, the scale doesn't lie and it's an extremely effective weight loss tactic. Forget warnings you may have heard about weighing in daily is not good.

If you must snack, and this is another habit I encourage you to drop altogether, make it whole fruits. Buy a bag of apples, oranges, bananas, grapes, and eat these instead of power bars, meal replacement beverages, snack foods and all the man-made junk.

Make the time and take time to walk every day. 35 minutes of brisk walking. Get up 40 minutes earlier if you have to. If you can't walk, choose another good aerobic exercise like bicycling, stair stepping, aerobics, etc. Get a buddy or family member if you need to. Do whatever it takes to do this daily.

There they are: nine great ways you can lose weight now. Stop putting your healthy weight loss off. Being overweight, even by 10 pounds, is dangerous to your health and detrimental to your overall fitness. These are real handicaps, but fortunately they're handicaps you can change.
