After reading the reviews about the bright spot in the middle I was hesitant to buy this. However, one person (somewhere in these reviews...) suggested using Press 'n Seal film over the lens as a diffuser and it works perfectly! Now I have the advantage of a bright focused beam when I want and a more even light the rest of the time. The magnets on the feet are strong, the legs are bendable- this is a very handy tool!

boyfriends favorite new toy
I bought this for my boyfriend and he absolutely loves it. It is extremely bright, and the magnet is very strong. While it is brightest in the center, we find that there is still plenty of light around it, and the center beam is actually fairly large. We use it when we take late night walks since it is so much better than regular flashlights, and I think it will also be useful when he works on his car or is working in the basement for extra light as there is no problem getting it to stick to metal. Overall I was very pleased with this purchase.

I love this flashlight. Users may find that you need to make sure that the battery compartment is fully engaged by lineing up the tab and battery indicator. I am still thinking about the possibilities of this great product.

Nice enough
It's magnetic, relatively robust, and easy to position/point. I don't love the battery and the brightness dial-- it's not that robust, the bright portion of the beam is too narrow. Still, it's a good thing to have on hand if you might need some impromptu, precisely pointed light.

Regret Not Buying It Sooner
I work in IT and many times I'm troubleshooting a cable issue on the back of a server rack or switch closet. This light gives me a great view of what I'm working on while still allowing me to work with 2 hands. The poseable legs are a good method of placing the light but I think the magnetic feet are the best since I'm almost always next to something metal. Another reviewer said it best when he mentioned that this light prevents getting frustrated at someone who just cannot seem to point the flashlight where you need it.
The brightness and focus of the single LED is amazing and because it's an LED it's unlikely to burn out anytime soon and it doesn't generate any heat. I've gotten 1st degree burns of incadescent shop lights that werent 1/2 as useful as the Gorillatorch.
