How To Get Over Being A Shy Guy So You Can Get A Girlfriend
As someone who has been in your shoes before, I know exactly what it can feel like
when you know that you are a shy man, and that your shyness seems to be what gets in the way of you being able to get a girlfriend. You wish that you had the knack for being able to just approach a woman and start a really enthralling conversation, but every time you think about doing that, it makes you feel a little insecure. You may not know why it is that you are so shy around women, but you do know that it is something that you would like to be able to get over. You do know that you would much rather be the kind of man that can approach a woman and start talking like she was an old friend or something.It becomes even harder because of the fact that you have probably had many experiences in the past where you ended up avoiding women that you wanted to meet because of your shyness. So, you have this pattern of behavior that almost seems more natural than the pattern that you would like to have. That can be one of the hardest things to get over as a shy guy, but you know what? The good thing is that when you have developed new experiences where you are able to make the approach and you are able to start conversations with women, then you will start to feel like it is the natural thing for you to just walk up to a woman you like.
These next three tips might help you get to that point where you are able to get over being shy and you will be able to get that girlfriend that you desire to have:
1. Don't feel like you have to be as enthralling as you imagine you have to be.
Do you really think that you have to knock a woman's socks off with the best conversation that she has ever had in order to make a good impression on her? If you do, then you are setting yourself up for failure. Most of the time, all you have to do is start the conversation off very simply and see where it goes. It might be nice to imagine that you could be as smooth as Sean Connery when he played James Bond, but you don't have to be that way at all to have a good experience approaching a woman.
2. Control your mind before you walk over to a woman.
What usually happens when someone imagines over and over again that they are going to mess something up badly? Usually - they end up messing things up just like they imagined. Don't let your imagination have that kind of control over you. Instead, control your imagination and only envision success. It may not be a guarantee that you are going to be able to pick up any woman that you want to, but it is going to be a lot more helpful to imagine yourself being successful versus imagining yourself totally blowing it.
3. Don't try force yourself to get a girlfriend, let it happen naturally.
I've seen plenty of shy guys feel like they just have to get a girlfriend and because of that, they do. Only problem is, they end up with the wrong kind of a woman and they are not as happy as they could have been if they held out and waited for things to happen naturally. Plenty of men end up with the wrong woman because they rushed to get a girlfriend and once they have one, they don't know what to do when they realize that she is not really the kind of woman that they want to be with.
