We all like to think of ourselves as careful owners of our precious objects. Most of us are brought up to take care of the things we care about. Shipping costs and who covers them
What happens if your phone is stolen
What happens to lost data
You will find that most companies offering iPhone insurance are competitive in the first of the above items (well, frankly, they have to be, don't they, or nobody would buy from them) but differ in items 2 and 3. Many iPhone insurance plans require the insured to cover shipping costs (item 4) too, which adds to the expense and cuts into any savings made in the monthly premium. As for items 5 and 6, well, most companies won't cover you for theft except at an inflated premium, and data recovery is usually not mentioned at all, except by GoCare.
