Dog Care Baths

Dog Care Baths

Nobody really keeps in mind how important it is to keep out pet dogs clean

. giving them a good brush down and a nice bath will not only keep them away from any pests like ticks and fleas, it can also help them cool down, feel fresh and prevent any skin problems. How many times a month a dog needs a bath will vary from dog to dog. There are some people who recommend a regular bath of once a month, while there are people who recommend bathing the dog when necessary. It is however, clear that giving them too many baths in a month will only damage their fur and strip the natural oils found in it.

What is the proper way to give your pet dog a bath? Here is a simple guide that can help you get your four legged friend clean.

Get the Water Ready

First things first, prepare some water. Many people use a hose and bath their dogs outside because its a fast and easy method of doing things. This works but the dog might move around a lot and you may have a hard time holding on to the hose while controlling your pet dog at the same time. Not to mention its going to use up a lot of water. A better way to give a dog a bath is to use a bucket and a dipper. Also, using a bucket allows you to add medication for skin problems and pest to the water. Dog Care Baths

Cleaning Material

There are hundreds of dog bath care products out there, with many containing special formulas for certain coat types and lengths. Other dog bath care products have added medication to get rid and prevent ticks and fleas. A good way to easily disperse the product is to add it in water.

Bathing

Spend time to go through every inch of your dog with the bath care product and water. Lather it all over their bodies until it bubbles up. Do not forget to clean the spaces found on their paws and dont miss their ears. After, make sure you rinse all the product off.

Drying

Dogs commonly dry themselves by shaking, but you can also help out by towel drying them. Dogs that have thinker and longer coats will take a longer time to dry, so always keep a towel hand. If the dog is unable to shake themselves dry, like in cases of DM in dogs, you can also use a blow dryer to make things easier for the dog.

In certain situations, giving a dog a bath might be a bit more challenging. Dogs that have disabilities, DM in dogs, paralysis, and other conditions might have a hard time moving. You will need a bigger water container where you can place them inside and wash them there. Afterwards, make sure you dry them completely to avoid any coat and skin problems.
