Challenges And Opportunities In Mobile Application Development In India
Though one cannot refute the fact that most of the phones are even now being used
to simply make and receive calls, there is a growing tend in the usage of mobile applications. This trend can grow further more if the challenges faced are handled and a solution is found for them. Using mobile phones as Internet enabled devices is not easy considering there are plenty of networking issues.
Some of the most common problems faced by Mobile Application Users
One of the major problems is the data connectivity because it is not only expensive but is also extremely unreliable and slow, where the problem can start with something as small as accessing Internet settings on the phone. Most of the times, the data connection does not function well and even if it does the cost is quite high for the unreliable connection one gets.
The second challenge faced is the lack of reliability about the value added services being offered by the mobile operator. Most mobile operators simply charge the customer for no fault of theirs even for services that have not been subscribed for. This creates credibility issues and users are not willing to take a chance on subscribing for VAS because they are aware of their money being deducted for no rhyme or reason.
Another important fact is the lack in awareness of value added services or Internet facility on mobile phones. It is a well-known fact that most of the mobile phones have Internet facility but not many are aware on how to use it and hence the mobile operators have to make more efforts in educating the customers about it.
While these are just some of the problems faced by most users, the good news is that there is an increase by more than 100 per cent in just a year. Most offshore mobile application development companies are realizing that the trend is simply going to grow for the demand of mobile applications and therefore outsourced mobile application development companies are sprucing up to meet this demand.
