I recently had someone ask me if it was possible to only buy foods from the breakfast and lunch menu on Nutrisystem

. The truth was that she still intended to eat a regular dinner with her family and only wanted to be on the diet from 2/3 of the time. So, she wanted to know if it was possible to buy a package excluding the dinner foods or if she needed to buy the breakfasts and lunches individually. I'll look at her options in the following article.

Ordering Individual Nutrisystem Breakfasts And Lunches: This option is certainly possible. They do allow you to buy all of the meals individually. Ordering this way would require for her to figure out how much weight she wanted to lose, figure out how long that should take, and then to buy enough breakfasts and lunches to cover this. Many folks do it this way, especially at first. But, it's generally not going to be the cheapest way to go. The price per meal costs more on an individual basis and the best coupons generally aren't offered for a la carte orders.

Ordering Nutrisystem Breakfasts And Lunches In A Package: There were a couple of other options that may have worked better if she were to go the package route. The first option was a custom order. This allows you to hand pick your foods for no additional costs. Yes, you do have to go in and look at the menu and chose each of your foods, but you are assured of getting what you want. You will be asked to chose dinners in your package. But, I know some folks eat the dinners for lunches and vice verse.

If you aren't sure which Nutrisystem meals you might like, you can always go with the favorites package. Many people do and it's a nice way to sample the more popular meals. The customized package and the favorites usually cost the same. But both allow for some very generous coupons which will often mean you pay less than the individual foods and get more of them.

Finally, since this person wasn't 100% sure how long she was going to be on the diet, another option would have been to look at the Nutrisystem flex plan. This package gives you less foods (only enough for 20 days as opposed to 28,) but it's also the cheapest and a nice way to sample the diet, especially for dieters like her who were only going part time.
