Various water activities are a sure hit in Byron Bay. You can see families enjoying the day snorkeling, swimming, fishing, and canoeing. The most adventurous will definitely feel the thrill of riding the huge waves in the many surfing breaks.

Much of the place's history and culture has been preserved well. If you can drive all the way to Bangalow, you will see street lined with nineteenth-century houses and buildings complete with verandahs. A number of them have been transformed into antique shops and booths where you can purchase unique finds such as Oriental rugs and carpets, as well as very old books.
