It's common knowledge that a holiday is a fantastic way to relax and unwind, but after you've booked your holiday, you may find that preparing for a trip, whether it's a weekend away or a month long excursion can be pretty stressful. So with that in mind, here are a few tips to help you make the run up to your holiday as stress free as possible.
Use Your Time Wisely
While this sounds like a pretty obvious thing to say, using the time you have left before your holiday could make all the difference when it comes to your stress levels. Take the time to sit down and write down all the important things you need to do before going away, such as cancelling the milk and organising a friend or neighbour to look after your home and pets.
Pack Early, Pack Light
Packing your suitcase is another pre-holiday task that can take a lot of time and effort to get right. After all, if you don't pack enough, you could run the risk of forgetting to pack extra travel necessities, and if you pack too much, you will have to pay expensive luggage surcharges at the airport. Plan what outfits, accessories, shoes, toiletries and medication you will need during your time abroad, and do so with plenty of time to spare.
Get to the Airport on Time
While this may sound like an easy task, travelling to the airport in time for your flight can be a very difficult thing to do. Traffic, missed alarms and a general lack of organisation could mean that you'll miss your booked Palma flights, and could mean that you have to book another, much later flight. To make sure this doesn't happen, double check when and where you're flying from, make sure your suitcase is packed and all your travel documents are up to date, correct and safely stored in your hand luggage.
