Lets talk about the different probiotics with respects to the difference between

Culturelle is one example of a treatment specific probiotic. Culturelle is specific type of probiotic called acidophilus GG and it is particularly helpful against a specific type of bacteria called clostridia. Three Lac has been used by many people as an effective treatment for yeast. And so while you would use Three Lac as a remedy for yeast overgrowth, it would not be a good option as a long term, overall solution for general immune and digestive support. Another treatment specific probiotic is called VSL #3, VSL #3 is a very high potency probiotic used to help break down oxalates. Even though it can be effective against clostridia, the primary use of VSL #3 is as a part of an oxalate reducing treatment plan. Saccharomyces Boulardii is another treatment specific probiotic. And Saccharomyces Boulardii is a yeast that targets other yeasts so it can be effective against candida overgrowth. You can also take Saccharomyces Boulardii while taking antibiotics to help prevent a yeast infection from occurring. It can also be effective at treating clostridia as well.
There are many options out there when it comes to probiotics and I just wanted to give you an overview. And so to go over them again, we have what are called multi-floral probiotics which serve to enhance both the immune system and the digestive system and then we have treatment specific probiotics designed to treat certain issues as I explained above.
