10 Link Building Strategies To Get Incredible Amounts Of Traffic
Having a good link building system in place is one of the most important things you must set up to get high traffic to your site
.
This works in two ways: the links themselves send traffic to your site, and the links build up page rank to get your site listed higher in the search engine. If you can get to page one on Google, or even better in the top three on page one, you can get lots of targeted traffic.
Here are some link building strategies you can put in place to raise your traffic and income.
Link Building Strategy # 1: Post In Forums.
Many forums allow you to add a signature at the bottom of your post. Find a forum that allows this and make one or two comments a day for a month.
If the comments are for linking purposes only, they do not have to be well thought out beforehand. Just become part of a conversation, add relevant comments and give beneficial advice.
After a month, you will have added 30 - 60 backlinks to your site. Not bad for 5 minutes of work per day.
Link Building Strategy # 2: Use Social Bookmarking.
Social bookmarking is an effective tactic to build valuable backlinks, but you must do it very subtly because most of them prohibit any marketing activities. To build backlinks and promote your sites under the radar, I recommend bookmarking 4 to 5 non-self-serving sites for every one self-serving site. It is also advisable to be part of the community, join groups and conversations. This will significantly reduce the risks of being tagged as a spammer.
Warning: There are programs you can use to automatically send out your links to various social bookmarking sites around the Internet, but make sure you follow the rules above. When done correctly, this can add a flood of visitors to your site.
Link Building Strategy # 3: Write A Top Quality Article For A High Ranking Site.
Write an exceptional article and offer it to a Webmaster that has an authority site with a high page rank, in exchange for a link back to your site.
Webmasters love unique content; and if it is a unique and sensational article, they have nothing to lose. They can put the link back to your site anywhere on their website and it will give you a valuable link. A few of these are like gold.
Link Building Strategy # 4: Send Out A Press Release.
Once your site is up and running, you can write up a press release and send it out. If you do not know how to write one, you can find another one on the Internet and just follow the way it is structured.
You can get one done in about half an hour, even if you haven't written one before. They are usually only 500 words each. Otherwise, you can always hire a freelancer to write one for you.
Link Building Strategy # 5: Submit To Web Directories.
You can get massive amounts of links to your site with these directories. The one thing you will need to look for is an up to date list of directories.
They can come and go quickly; and there is nothing more frustrating than going to three or four directories in a row from a list, only to find that they have been shut down.
Link Building Strategy # 6: Engage In Article Marketing.
Article marketing can add valuable backlinks to your site, and a lot of them, by sending them out in bulk. There are article distribution services that can send out your articles to many directories at a time. Some directories allow duplicate content; and since you are sending them out to build up backlinks, it is not a concern.
You can get a list of article directories that allow duplicate content and spend a few hours sending out one or two articles in bulk at a time. However, I would recommend you use a software program or submission service to get this done, so you can focus more on your business.
Link Building Strategy # 7: Add Comments To Blogs.
Find a list of do-follow blogs that allow comments and add yours. Make it a comment that adds value to the blog to avoid having it blocked as spam. High-ranking blogs are what you will be looking for.
Once you have a list of them that are in your niche, you can comment on them regularly as long as you have something valuable to say. Comments like I agree will not usually be allowed and any further comments you may make in the future may be blocked.
Link Building Strategy # 8: Create A Squidoo Page, A Blog And A Hub Page.
You can develop all of these sites in one afternoon and link them back to your main site. The blog could be made using blogger.com, wordpress.com, or blogspot.com.
If you have never made one you can get someone to do it for you at a cheap price, or better yet, learn how so you can create more for your other sites.
These content sharing tools are favored greatly by the search engines, so adding them to your link building arsenal is a brilliant move.
Link Building Strategy # 9: Get In Your Admin.
Put a system in place so you have less time spent floundering and more time spent producing. Make a list of what you need to do for your backlinking and how often.
Get a schedule in place so that you can follow it easily. Make up folders and files on your computer so that everything stays organized and easy to manage.
Link Building Strategy # 10: Outsource.
Number ten, but perhaps most important of them all, is to outsource. If you have a limited budget, outsource at least part of it. This will free up your time and energy so that you can devote your time to other projects - like setting up more sites!
There are other link building strategies that you can apply; but if you use these, you will have plenty to keep you busy. Pay special attention to numbers 9 and 10. They will help you make fast progress, and get some targeted traffic to your site in no time.
