Copper Spike Train returns to Safford for one special weekend of excursions! Mother's Day is quickly approaching, have you planned anything yet? The Gila Tomahawk Train Excursion has two unique trains departing Mother's Day weekend, the Taste of the Salsa Trail Train and Throw Mama on the Train. The trains depart from Old Historic Safford Depot in south east Arizona. Saturday, May 8th is the Taste of the Salsa Trail Train where guests will ride to the Mexican food restaurant Bush & Shurtz. Everyone will have a free taste of the Arizona's Salsa Trail restaurants chips and salsas while enjoying music. The Taste of the Salsa Trail Train departs at 9:00AM, 12:30PM, and 4:00PM. Excursions last two and half hours. Coach and Club Car seating is $12 for adults and $6 for children. Snacks are available on the Club Car. Premium seating in the dome car is $5 extra.
