Australia Zoo is a short drive from Mooloolaba or we took advantage of the local Sunbus service which services the zoo at Beerwah with regular drop off and pick up times to and from Mooloolaba through out the day. We were impressed with the cleanliness of Australia Zoo and the well thought out layout of the grounds and the enclosures along with the friendliness of all the staff. They were very welcoming and seemed passionate about animals and their job at the zoo. Their enthusiasm was contagious.The place is huge with so much to see and do it was hard to decide where to start first. As it was elephant feeding time we started there. It was truly amazing to be able to hand feed these amazing creatures, something we hadn't done since holidaying in Thailand. A highlight for our 2 young children.Throughout the day there were wildlife shows that were educational and involved a wide array of animals not just Australian.
