Gold is also a great investment and hedge, but has been outperformed as of late by silver. The GSR ( Gold to Silver Ratio ) has corrected itself from 71:1, 80:1, and even as high as 91:1, to 41:1. The normal ratio as history states is 16:1. That means sixteen ounces of silver is equal to the value of one ounce of gold.
