When Using Online Dating Sites, Learn To Do Your Own Thing
One of the more common pitfalls that men seem to make when they are trying to use
online dating sites to meet women is that they pretty much do the same thing that all the other guys are doing. What that does is, it creates a kind of "noise" that women learn to block out. So, if you end up following what all of the other guys are doing, then you are going to end up getting associated with that noise and then you will get blocked out before you even have the chance to make any kind of an impression on a woman.
Truth is, if you want to be able to make an impression on a woman, then you have to do things a little bit differently than what she is used to seeing from a guy. That is what always works to make you stand out. You don't want to be seen as just another follower, because all that does is make you seem like you are no different from the rest. You want to be different from the rest. The average guy that joins an online dating site does NOT experience a lot of success.
Most men that join these sites end up with nothing to show for it. They either get not interest at all, or if they get even just a little bit, it does not amount to much in the grand scheme of things.
Here are some tips on how to do your own thing:
1) Do not send instant messages that tell her how good looking she is.
This is the most common "opener" that guys use on these sites. If you have a good looking female friend who has spent any time on a dating site, ask her to get confirmation of this. I guarantee that she will tell you that the vast majority of men use the first instant message to tell her that she is hot or that she is sexy or attractive. Think of something else that you can open with.
2) Do not put up pictures of yourself that make you seem boring.
Pictures tell a story about who you are and what you are like. Just by looking at the pictures that you put up, a woman is going to get an impression of who you are and what it would be like to date you. If those pictures suggest that you are kind of a boring guy, you really cannot expect to get much interest, can you? Take some pictures of you doing things that you love to do and make sure that comes through when you are looking at them.
3) DO try out many different approaches until you get one that works for YOU.
Not every guy can work the same angle when they are trying to approach women online.. Just because one guy finds a method that seems to work for him, it does not mean that you are going to be able to pull it off. Not only that, when you try many different approaches and get comfortable with them, then you can end up with a little more chance at attracting a diverse group of women online.
