The longer a dealer has been in business, the greater the likelihood of good products and good customer service. Once you have found a reputable dealer, find out which hot tub manufacturers they prefer, and which manufacturers they have used the longest. Like the dealers, a good hot tub manufacturer will have stood the test of time. Reputable hot tub dealers and manufacturers are also much more likely to stand behind their warranties.
Ease of maintenance is another aspect that must be taken into consideration. A hot tub that is used regularly should be serviced weekly to ensure good water quality and cleanliness. Water filters should also be rinsed out each week. Plastic or synthetic exterior materials are easier to clean than wood, which tends to absorb dirt and spills.
