What Do I Need to Do to Conceive a Baby Girl? I'll Tell You
Over the weekend, I received an email from a woman who said that she felt like she was living in the middle of the old sitcom "My Three Sons." She had given birth to three boy babies previously and was trying to conceive her forth child. This time, she was dead set on conceiving a girl. She loved her boys very much, but, as she knew that this was going to be her last pregnancy, she wanted to make sure that she got a daughter this time. But, she wasn't sure if this was possible since she seemed to be predisposed to conceiving boys. She asked me very specifically: "what do I need to do or what needs to happen to make sure I conceive a girl this time." I'll tell you what I told her in the following article.
Here's The First Step To Take If You Think You're Predisposed To Conceiving Boys: Many people write me and tell me that one gender (in this case, it's boys) runs in their family so they're very doubtful of their ability to conceive the opposite gender (girls in this case.) In these instances, I tell them that the first thing they should do is to test their PH. Because nine times out of ten, if you've been conceiving boys all along, you'll find that your PH is low and that your body is alkaline. This comes into play because the Y sperm chromosomes (that produce boys) can not live for long in a high PH (an acidic one) but thrive in one which is alkaline. Girl producing sperm, however, do fine in either environment. Your goal then is to become more acidic.
Luckily, you can both test this and then change your results. PH testing strips are available online or in some health food stores. If you don't like your result (and you shouldn't if it's too low) then you can raise it by consuming a diet of foods that are of a high PH or douching with solutions that are highly acidic. (You can do both at the same time for faster results.)
Make Sure Your Timing Is Quite Early: I believe that you should give yourself at least a month (maybe more if you were very low when you tested) to raise your PH. There's no sense in trying if you are too alkaline because this will just decrease your chances anyway. But, when the strips show that you are in "girl range" then you want to start thinking about the optimal times to have intercourse for conception.
For a girl baby, this is going to be much earlier in your cycle. The reason for this is that boy or Y sperm is quicker to die off. This is particularly true in an acidic environment, but their life span is less than girl producing or X sperm even in the most favorable conditions. So, you want to be very choosy and conceive 3-4 days before you ovulate giving the boy producing sperm plenty of time to make their exit.
To be successful at this, you will need to be sure that you are actually 3-4 days out. This can be tricky as most predictors only give you the much anticipated positive after you have already ovulated. This is why I suggest saliva ovulation predictors. In my opinion, they are more sensitive and you can literally see the changes on the slide to show you that ovulation is approaching but has not yet happened.
Take Advantage Of Intercourse Positions: The last step in conceiving a girl is, thankfully, the easiest. You'll just want to use positions that place the sperm as far away from your cervix as is possible while still getting it into the reproductive tract. In other words, you want to use shallow positions. This too, makes life a little harder for the already weaker Y's.
