The CBI designation is awarded based upon completing rigorous education and testing

by the IBBA for applicants that have an established work experience in the industry and knowledge of the Mergers and Acquisitions industry. The CBI credential has been awarded to less than 800 recipients around the world. Not all states here in the US require licensure of business brokers and therefore it is even more important that business owners look for the credentials of the brokers and firms being considered to represent them as a trusted advisor. The purchase or sale of a privately held enterprise can be one of the most important financial transactions in an individual's life. Retaining a CBI will assist all parties in navigating the myriad of complex issues related to selling or buying a privately held business and achieving a win-win transaction.
