Become a listener if you want to progress at work or build your business, listen to your colleagues, employees, customers, suppliers and providers of services. Be honest and open allow people to approach you, don't hide away or success will not find you. Be approachable and deal with your customers in a fair way, offer them good value for money with a good attitude, They will appreciate this way of doing business, they will become regular customers and stay loyal to you. They will tell others and your business will grow.

Invest in your people as you grow, they need to feel valued, they need to understand where they fit into the bigger picture. Talk to them and show genuine interest, listen to any concerns they may have, and do your best to deal with them It is also important to take on board their ideas and suggestions, remember they are closest to your customers. If you don't value them and they know it your business will suffer. They are your frontline.

Many companies, including some of the most prestigious, talk the talk around respect and value for their workforce and then do not follow through. If they were to open their mindset and consider the difference a respected and informed workforce could make to the business world, we would certainly make a huge difference to exceeding customer service expectations.

If you demonstrate a value culture with your people, they will stop working against you, you will find that what you give in these situations will be returned and growth will happen. Personal growth, business growth and mindset growth. Start walking the path of leadership, change your mindset, start with small steps and step into a big future.
