4. Sign up for the affiliate programs that you want to promote.
Once you've decided what products you want to promote, locate the websites of the companies that run affiliate programs for these products and sign up for them. You can find affiliate programs in any niche by either searching for 'Affiliate Directories' or 'niche name affiliate program' on any major search engine. There are so many companies running affiliate programs that you should easily be able to find a suitable program to promote.
5. Add the affiliate tracking links to your website.
Once you're signed up you need to copy the tracking code from the affiliate program site and add this to your website in the appropriate places, so that your visitors will click through to the merchant's website using your link and you will receive commission on any sales.
6. Decide upon the ways that you are going to promote your website.
There are numerous free and paid methods to drive traffic to your website. Free methods include Search Engine Optimisation, Article Marketing, Social Media Marketing, Text Ad and Traffic Exchanges, Safelists, and Viral marketing. Paid methods generally include Pay per Click Advertising on search engines, Paid Banner Advertising and the many ways of advertising offline. You will need to try some of these methods to find out what works best for you in your market.
