As a flourishing business owner, you are one step away from wallpapering your office with the hundreds and thousands of business cards you have. Well we cant blame you. Experts say that you need to have a lot of business cards with you at all times. So, its only fair that you print piles of them.
Generally, business cards are necessary, theres no arguing with that. But if you cant find the right card to give to a prospective client or customer because of the heap of cards covering your workspace, that is not good. Remember that you only have a few seconds to talk to a prospect and hand him your card. So, dont make a fool of yourself, groping through stacks of card. This will only make you look unprofessional to your prospect.

Print only enough. Well, obviously its much easier to organize your cards if you have less of them. Theres nothing wrong with printing a lot just in case you need to hand out lots of cards. But that is exactly what causes your space problem. The whole point of your business card is to convey information about you and your business. Once you have printed a good number of your cards, you can always recycle them. This way you spend way less time and money in your business card printing.
Get a business card binder and holder. If you need to keep your cards and those you received from other people, use a binder. Today, there are endless choices of binders in the market. Choose the one with movable pages so in case you need to rearrange your cards, it will be easy for you. Also, a business card holder will be helpful in keeping your business cards intact in your briefcase. Should there be a need to give your card, it will be easy to swing out your card holder, take one card, and hand it to your prospect.
Give only when asked. Dont be a card pusher. If your prospect doesnt ask for your card, dont push it in their face. You can accept theirs if you really need their contact information. If not, dont ask for their card. Remember, give yours only when they ask for it.
