Plainfield drug busts yields 3 arrests, 27 charges, $3,000 worth of heroin, crack, marijuana, cash

Authorities said Plainfield Police Detective Adam Green on Sept

. 15 and 16 purchased narcotics in and near the apartment, generating the warrant that led to the arrests. Due in part to the fact that a firearms violation appeared on one of the suspects' criminal records, the warrant was executed by theNFL Jersey State Police Teams Unit, which specializes in high-risk entries, police said.

Arrested at about 6:30 a.m. Thursday on the 1000 block of Park Avenue were Mitchell D. Webb, 25, Anthony M. Webb, 24, and Patricia J. Webb, 43, police said. All of them were charged with seven drug offenses, including intent to distribute drugs within 1,000 feet of school property, and Mitchell Webb was charged with six additional drug offenses, according to police.

Recovered from the apartment were a plastic bag containing about 8.3 grams of crack cocaine with a street value of $850, 67 folds of suspected heroin with a street value of $670, 15 small knots of crack cocaine with a street value of $150, twoMLB JERSEYSof suspected marijuana with a street value of $80, numerous pieces of drug paraphernalia and $1,373 in cash, police said.

Both Mitchell and Anthony Webb are alleged repeat offenders on drug violations, according to state Department of Corrections records. Mitchell Webb since 2004 has served a combined 38 months during two state prison stints for drug and weapons offenses in Union and Somerset counties, having been released from custody most recently in June 2009, the records indicate. Anthony Webb in 2007 spent nearly four months in state prison for distributing drugs on school property, according to the records.

Bail for Mitchell Webb was set Friday at $172,000 with no cash option, while bail for Anthony Webb was set at $150,000 with no cash option, according to police. Patricia Webb was released on summonses, police said.
