Organising Parties - Party Supplies Resource by:Claire Daniels

Organising parties can be a lot of fun if you are a party lover

. But we also understand that there are many people who don't like to plan, as it is very time-consuming and stressful. That is why there was the birth of the party planner and voila! All problems were solved. Party planning can be taxing, even for the most enthusiastic and organised, especially if it is a large number you are planning for.

There are a few things that could help your planning a little easier

Make a list

When we say make a list, we mean make a list of all the things you need to plan for. There are many aspects of planning a party, so it is better that you first write them all down and go down the list systematically so as to not forget anything. You could try Parties in a Package for planning out your parties. For more info click www.partiesinpackages.com.au

Number of people and their names

Decide the number of people you are thinking of inviting and always plan for five extra. Ask for an R.S.V.P., as it is important to know how many people will be attending for sure and you can plan accordingly.

Decide place and date

The venue of the party is very important. If you are hosting the party at home, make sure the place is well tended and spacious. If you are inviting a large number of people, think about hiring a party venue. If it is a special occasion, the date of the party depends upon the occasion date. If not, make sure it is a day when all can attend easily.

Decide the theme of the party

If you want to have something different, plan a theme party. They are a rage and everyone will enjoy. There are many themes for parties like masquerade, super hero,Hollywood theme party, retro, etc. Decide on your theme first, as then you can plan the food and decoration accordingly.

Food preference & Drinks

Plan for both Vegetarians and Non Vegetarians. We wouldn't want to have only meat items and invite a few pure vegetarians. Also, when you decide on the food, make sure people are aware of what they are eating at the party to avoid any allergic reactions. Hire caterers if you need them and make sure you plan for drinks, both hard liquors and soft drinks.

Party Supplies

You will need party supplies if you are having a party at home, like plates, glasses, crackers, balloons, etc. So plan ahead.

Decide Clothing

It is very important you decide what you and your family are going to wear for the party. You wouldn't want to plan last minute, as that can be quite stressful and you will never be happy with the end result. Also, if it is a theme party, then the host has to look the best.

Invites

If you are sending out invites, it is advisable you plan them at least three weeks in advance, as there can always be a delay. Plan according to your theme if there is one and make sure you leave enough of a margin for your guests to reply and arrive for the party.

Party Decoration and Music

The first impression on your guests will be the decoration. Make sure there is enough lighting and plan according to your theme, too. Music is a very important part as it sets the tone of the party. Make arrangements or even hire a DJ and get ready to dance the night away.

On the day of the party

There are usually many last minute alterations that need to be done and they invariably crop up on the day of the party. So be calm and take care of all the things. The most important is that you look relaxed and content when you welcome your guests, so head out to your salon (yes, even the men) and look beautiful or handsome, subject to gender.
